As a big fan of the show Ace of Cakes I was intrigued by the cake I saw on Alan and Minda's blog, not to mention the amazing cakes Alan's mom does. After talking to Alan and Minda I found out that it wasn't too hard to make the fondant that goes on the cake. So I dove right in seeing as how I still have some free time.
This was my creation.

This was a lot of fun for me considering it incorporated two things I love ... Cake and Watches. I spent most of my time trying to get the colors right and I got kind of lazy at the end with the finishing touches. Certainly if you look close enough you can see many imperfections so I have a long way to go but I can see myself continuing to make various fun cakes.
